The Office of University Advancement is currently seeking a Development Associate to support our Scholarship fundraising team.
The University of Virginia is one of a small group of highly selective colleges/universities to support a need blind admissions process and meet 100 percent demonstrated student need. To continue to be a leader in providing talented students the resources they need to excel at the University, no matter their financial background, private philanthropy will continue to play a critical role. The Scholarships team is responsible for comprehensive fundraising programs to support these efforts.
The Development Associate for Scholarships plays a critical role by providing administrative support to multiple development officers. The Development Associate is responsible for scheduling, making travel arrangements, preparing itineraries and prospect materials, maintaining donor records, running reports, providing stewardship assistance and other administrative support responsibilities.
The qualified candidate will have at least three years of administrative experience, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and have an ability to set priorities, manage time and meet deadlines. He/she will have the ability to work independently, take initiative, follow-through and solve problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong technical skills are required.
This is a restricted position and continuation is based on availability of funds.
