Department Overview
The UNT Career Center is the centralized career office responsible for the career development of all UNT students and alumni. It has responsibility for all opportunities related to Student Employment, Internships, and Post-Graduate Employment of UNT students.

Job Description
The Career Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Scheduling & Events Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
* Work with employers to arrange on-campus interview (OCI) schedules and information sessions/tables, including outreach to employers in our job board.
*Work with Career Center staff and UNT faculty to establish successful OCI practices.
* Coordinate and schedule campus events/programs (Career Fairs; Job Fairs, Etiquette Dinners, Expos, etc.) that involve members of the business community, government departments, non-profit organizations, etc.
* Work with UNT Facilities' managers and scheduling offices to make the accurate arrangements for all events.
* Troubleshoot problems that occur on OCIs with employers or students.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Master's Degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

* Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops.
* Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations.
* Experience in networking across departments and programs.
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills.
* Some experience in customer service is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in hospitality, marketing, or related field, and 2 years of experience with event planning and coordination, especially job/career fairs.
* Some experience in sales/customer service is preferred.
* Must be comfortable speaking with corporate executives.
* Knowledge of career services and university rules/regulations.
* Experience with speaking to small and large audiences.
* Experience with interview scheduling software (Handshake or similar).
