I. JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description Summary:

The Program Associate, Clinical Placement, works closely with the Manager of Clinical Placement Programs, Assistant Dean of the BSN Program, and other program faculty to facilitate clinical placements and manage student health records and requirements. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Work with Clinical Course Coordinators to identify and facilitate new clinical sites, as appropriate. Collaborate with Contracts counterpart to initiate new clinical affiliation agreements with appropriate clinical sites for all undergraduate nursing students.
Initiate and maintain partnerships with hospitals, clinical sites, and community health agencies utilized by undergraduate nursing students to complete clinical rotations/preceptorships.
Manage clinical affiliation agreement spreadsheet to monitor initiation and expiration dates that provide advanced notice to Contracts counterpart to perform renewals, when appropriate.
Set up students in CastleBranch.
Monitor CastleBranch Admin portal for student compliance of required immunizations and other mandatory documentation. Proactively follow up with students as needed.
Maintain course placement flow sheet for each cohort of BSN students.
Secure clinical slots for ABSN students, including group rotations and individual preceptorships.
Schedule students for on-campus clinicals (OB, Peds, MS1, MS2).
Complete required compliance documents for sites before start of every clinical rotation.
Work with faculty liaisons regarding student clinical placement requirements.
Maintain accurate records related to clinical sites and placements: update internal records.
Update the clinical packet for each new cohort.
Plan and conduct the clinical webinar for every new cohort.
Manage the launch and implementation of the Exxat system for the undergraduate program.
Incorporate all relevant information and details into the Exxat system.
Manage and continuously update the Nursing Orientation Blackboard page for the undergraduate program.
Other duties as assigned and as the position evolves.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

•Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
•Clinical placement experience preferred.
•Experience reviewing and analyzing legal contracts preferred
•Excellent attention to detail
•Excellent communication (both oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently

Typical Hiring Range $47,500 - $60,200 How is pay for new employees determined at GW?
