Job Purpose
The Office of Undergraduate Admission (UGA) seeks an Alumni Relations Coordinator to work with alumni volunteers, students, Stanford Alumni Association, the Office of Development and other University colleagues to develop, implement, and assist with evaluating programs, services, and communications that reach, serve, and engage alumni. Implement and staff alumni programs, primarily within the Alumni Volunteer Relations team (70% time) and secondarily engage in general admission officer responsibilities (30% time).

Core Duties*
  • Recruit volunteers to facilitate their participation in alumni programs and events, and be an advocate for the Outreach Volunteer Alumni Link (OVAL) Program.
  • Develop contacts and maintain relationships with alumni, students, staff, and vendors.
  • Develop and implement a range of alumni events, programs, and services.
  • Coordinate operational and logistical planning of alumni events, activities, outreach efforts, and event registration (e.g., alumni training, applicant interviews, college fairs, information session panels, and admitted student receptions).
  • Produce reports to evaluate performance of alumni programs and services.
*Other duties may also be assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree and three years of relevant experience (advanced degree and 1-2 years experience preferred) or combination of education and relevant experience.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills at building collaborative relationships with internal colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage complex timelines and multiple projects.
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Good reading comprehension skills.
  • Ability to learn admission processes and programs.
  • Good, effective presentation skills.

Certificates and Licenses Required
  • Valid California Non-commercial Class Driver's License.

Physical Requirements*
  • Constantly perform desk-based tasks.
  • Frequently stand/walk, sit.
  • Occasionally grasp forcefully, use a telephone, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
  • Rarely writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license.

Working Conditions
  • Occasional work on evenings and weekends.
  • May work outdoors.
  • Some local or domestic travel.
