Director of Financial Aid

Jefferson Community College, Watertown, NY, a member of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is conducting a search for a full-time Director of Financial Aid. Reporting to the Dean of Enrollment, this position is a key member of the Enrollment Services leadership team and provides strategic leadership for financial aid operations and services to students regarding financial concerns. This position requires excellent management and data analysis skills as well as proficiency using technology and ability to manage regulatory requirements to meet vital compliance and reporting obligations. The position also requires a strong task orientation, attention to detail, supervision of staff, and ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years appropriate professional experience, or Master’s Degree and 5 years appropriate professional experience

Preferred: Experience in college financial aid or related field; leadership experience in college financial aid is preferred. Jefferson Community College seeks candidates who demonstrate a record of innovation and excellence in providing student-centered service, and who have organizational and management skills.
