Under general supervision, the incumbent will provide administrative program support to multiple faculty within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position will share time working with physicians at their clinic location, as well as having assigned work space at the department's administrative office location. The medical program assistant will provide support for teaching, research service, outreach and other activities, as well as providing the support necessary to assist in achieving successful performance of clinical patient care by providing clinical support in the coordination of outpatient and inpatient provider services, this will include working with electronic health management systems.
This position will coordinate complex daily activities for the physicians in all areas: clinical, medical teaching, and clinical research. The incumbent is expected to communicate effectively and confidentially with patients, referring physicians, residents, fellows and program leaders. This position requires a person who can function independently with general supervision as well as with a team to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
The candidate must have excellent organizational, oral and written communications skills, ability to multi-task, knowledge of the complex procedures and regulations regarding patient confidentiality, university policy and procedures as well as the ability to exercise good judgment.
Monday through Friday; 7:45 am - 4:30 pm
