Summary: The Department of Mathematics is accepting applications for positions at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track) and Associate Professor with tenure. This position will begin August 19, 2019. Candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence in instruction.
Duties: The selected candidates will contribute to the research, teaching and service missions of the Department of Mathematics in the College of Letters & Science. Candidates will engage in robust research and will develop and maintain extramural funding for research. Teaching responsibility will be three courses in Mathematics per academic year at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students required. Successful candidate will be expected to participate in professional, public and university service as appropriate
Appointment at the tenured level requires a favorable recommendation by the university's Physical Sciences Divisional Committee.
