Minimum $43,432 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

-2 years' or more working in a higher education setting (may include graduate student assistantships or internships).
-Knowledge and understanding of undergraduate career development and a commitment to supporting students through the career development process.
-A record of managing and delivering successful events.
-Experience motivating and coordinating volunteers.
-Self-motivated and an ability to work independently and with others.
-Demonstrated commitment to and experience working with diverse populations of students and staff.
-A successful track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
-Excellent written, oral, and personal communication skills.

Well-qualified candidates will also have:
-Ability to communicate the benefits of a liberal arts education.
-Career advising experience.
-Experience managing course enrollment.
-Knowledge and/or experience with academic technology.

Position Summary:

SuccessWorks at the College of Letters & Science is transforming the ways in which L&S prepares its undergraduates for life-long success. A new personal and professional development center, and part of the Dean's signature career initiative. SuccessWorks is positioned to support L&S students as they explore their interests and aspirations, engage in career exploration and development, and prepare to leave the UW for a rewarding career and satisfying life.

The Career Education Coordinator supports our career and internship courses, manages career advising events, and with international student populations growing in course enrollments and in advising participation, develops career resources for international students. This position will be highly collaborative, working with faculty directors, the SuccessWorks team, staff across campus, alumni, and students. The Career Education Coordinator reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Operations.
