The UVa Finance team is looking for a service oriented person to perform all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk of our main entrance. You will be the "face" of Carruther's for all visitors and employees therefore will be an important first and lasting impression we make. In addition, the position is also a key part of the administrative support for UVa Finance.
A High School diploma is required, as is at least one year experience as a front desk representative or other comparable position. The successful applicant has excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in English, strong organizational skills, and a calm, congenial and professional demeanor, able to manage sensitive matters with the appropriate care. The ability to solve problems independently, be self motivated to learn and improve processes, and able to quickly learn new tools in order to remain current in technology is required. The successful applicant is proficient with MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word, and is experienced using office machines, like fax, printers, scanners and copiers.
The preferred candidate has experience in fiscal management practices, basic tracking of expenses, etc, and is proficient with Oracle, Office 365.
