Posting Summary:
The Department of Engineering Systems and Environment seeks candidates for a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Instructor position for the Spring 2019 semester.

This position will teach an undergraduate and graduate level online Building Information Modeling course. We seek candidates with expertise in BIM and construction engineering and management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching a BIM-related course focusing on enhancement, review, conditioning, and validation of 3D architectural, structural, and Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) models along with the integration of cost and scheduling models. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate an extensive knowledge of 3D BIM software and have experience in estimating and scheduling. The candidate must have a detailed knowledge of computer operations including Autodesk Revit and extraction tools including Innovaya, NavisWorks, Assemble Systems, Synchro, and/or Solibri; experience in other modeling and extraction software applications would be an advantage.

Candidates must hold a Master's or PhD degree in civil engineering/architecture or a closely related field of engineering; specialization in Construction Engineering and Management is a plus; candidates with a few years of industry-experience in the design and construction industry are preferred.
