UK HealthCare Information Technology Services has posted the Academic & Research Technology (A&RT) Business Systems Analyst II role. This role will be held accountable for establishing strong credibility & collaboration with our physicians, customers, department leadership, affiliated organizations, and all I.T. staff members. This is a highly matrixed organization which requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, ability to participate in large multi-disciplinary teams with significant amount of varied work assignments The successful A&RT Business Systems Analyst II will help to solve informational problems by analyzing requirements, designing or leveraging existing computer programs/systems and datasets to meet business objective for the academic and business units of UK Healthcare. The primary duties will include working with unit business leaders and programming/data staff (internally and externally) to leverage technology in order to increase business efficiencies in assigned areas. This position will have an emphasis working with electronic workflow. UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare is expanding through the construction of a new hospital and potential future acquisitions. Physical Requirements

This position may require sitting, standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.


Monday-Friday 8:00am 5-00pm. May include some overtime, holiday, and other shift requirements.


The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint; Office 365; Workflow technologies (MS Flow, Nintex, etc.); strong SQL knowledge; outstanding database skills including, reporting tools and technologies; familiarity with .net and/or other programming languages; excellent customer service, critical-thinking skills, judgment, detail-oriented, and listening skills; strong written and verbal communications skills; and the ability to work independently and as a team.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience supporting data and business systems and working with large data sets preferred.
