Description
Human Dimensions of Organizations (HDO) in the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin teaches students to apply lessons from the humanities and social/behavioral sciences in workplace contexts. HDO offers a BA, an MA, and professional training. Applicants to these positions will be considered for teaching positions (long-term or short-term) in the undergraduate program.

These positions may carry with them an administrative component tied to HDO's teaching mission. This may include duties such as teacher training, curriculum development, faculty outreach, graduate faculty support, etc.

HDO offers a unique opportunity to create innovative coursework and teach courses on the cutting-edge of liberal-arts pedagogy.

Appointments are usually made on a semester-by-semester basis, though sometimes there is departmental need for an annual appointment. Positions are renewable annually, contingent upon budgetary funding and performance.


Qualifications
A PhD and a record of teaching excellence are preferred. Experience teaching and/or conducting research on the applied nature of the humanities and/or the social/behavioral sciences are also preferred. This is a security sensitive position; a background check will be conducted on applicant selected.
