Assistant Professor: Cell Biologist
THE DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY AT SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in CELL BIOLOGY at the Assistant Professor level. We are seeking a candidate whose research is at the forefront of eukaryotic cell biology. We strongly encourage applications from candidates whose research incorporates state-of-the-art approaches to address questions of broad cell physiological significance in areas of cell signaling, cell excitability and development. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded, independent research program involving BS, MS and PhD students. Contribution to the teaching mission of the Department of Biology, and service to the University and/or community is also expected. Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field and have postdoctoral experience.
