Associate Director, Annual Giving

Reporting to the Director, Annual Giving, the Associate Director executes overall strategy, and provides management and leadership for segmentation and execution of annual giving direct mail campaigns, digital communications, and the solicitation marketing plan/schedule, related technical processes and software, performance measurement, and goal setting.
This individual will work closely with major gift colleagues to ensure a meaningful engagement and solicitation strategy for our landmark 50th reunion class.
The Associate director will serve as a liaison both within institutional advancement and across campus to build and strengthen partnerships to ensure timely and cohesive communication and solicitations.
Additionally, the Associate Director will create and implement strategy for the acquisition and retention of donors to Emerson College through various channels including, but not limited to, a consecutive giving society and day of giving campaign.
The Associate Director will have a small portfolio and will work to manage relationships to qualify, cultivate, solicit leadership level annual giving prospects.
This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and excellent organizational and time management skills. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a team player, and have the ability to build relationships across the College as well as with donors.

Campus Location: Boston Campus

Required Knowledge:
Bachelors degree required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, as well as knowledge of marketing tools and database experience needed. Direct experience with annual giving solicitation marketing required. The successful candidate must have:

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
Direct experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred.

Required Prior Work Experience:
5-7 years of nonprofit, development, management, annual giving, marketing, public relations, or similar professional work experience required
