Assistant Professor of Nursing

Job description

The Department of Nursing at Briar Cliff University, an institution committed to higher education within a liberal arts and Catholic perspective, seeks candidates for a 12-month, tenure-track position available beginning January, 2019. Rank for the position may be at the Assistant or Associate level, based on previous academic experience.

Candidates should have an earned PhD in nursing or DNP, with preferred certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching nursing at the graduate level and with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates will be expected to mentor graduate students on their evidence-based practice improvement projects. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to high-quality education in a Catholic and Franciscan University.
