The Atascocita Center, a satellite center of LSC-Kingwood. The Center provides a variety of services to students including registration, advising, placement testing, and a diverse assortment of course offerings, tutoring, and library services.

Position Summary:


Under general supervision this position is responsible for multiple significant functions in the Student Life Department. This position acts as an expert in many areas and provides advice and information to others. Ensures that all district policies, practices and surrounding functions are carried out correctly by others.

Job Functions:
  • Assists with preparation for special events including equipment setup, distributing promotional items and engaging with people at the event
  • Offers administrative support to Student Activities faculty and staff
  • Assists students and visitors to the Student Activities office with general questions and information
  • Operates a variety of office equipment, such as a personal computer, printer, photocopier, transcriber, facsimile, scanner, or calculator
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse clientele in a team environment
Salary:
$7.25 per hour


Work Schedule & Conditions:


  • PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
