DESCRIPTION

The College of Arts and Sciences, Division of Literature, Languages and Philosophy at Kentucky State University invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Mass Communications and Journalism for Fall 2017.  The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in Communications, Media Studies or closely related field and a specialty in Print/Digital/Multimedia. Knowledge of photography is strongly encouraged. The successful candidate will be required to teach a four/four course load and have a passion and ability to teach a broad range of courses in the major with a commitment to student-centered learning in undergraduate education. Candidates should appreciate a diverse student population, participate in recruitment/retention activities, and advise/mentor students. An established record or scholarly activity and service are expected.
