The School of Business at Kentucky State University is accepting applications and nominations for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate professional position in Economics and Finance beginning in the Fall of 2017.  A successful candidate should be a teacher/scholar who is committed to students in and out of the classroom.  The teaching load will be four undergraduate courses or two undergraduate and one graduate course each semester.  The Kentucky State University School of Business supports and expects high quality outcome.  A successful candidate must demonstrate the potential to publish in leading academic journals.  The School of Business sponsors an Annual Student Research Day.  A successful candidate is expected to serve as a faculty mentor for student research.

The School of Business is fully accredited by the ACBSP and a member of AACSB.  Therefore, the position requires a Ph.D. or DBA in Economics or Finance from an accredited school.  ABD’s are welcome to apply or be nominated.  However, a successful ABD candidate is expected to complete his or her degree by the time of appointment.  Candidates must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
