SUMMARY

 


The Division of Mathematics and Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences at Kentucky State University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in Mathematics. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. The selected individual will teach 12 credit hours per semester consisting of undergraduate mathematics major, service and developmental mathematics courses. University service, research and/or scholarly activity are expected. 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • We are seeking a broadly trained PHD in mathematics, mathematics education or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics. Doctoral candidates who are ABD will be considered. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

 

  • A Candidate with experience in mathematics education or mathematics with an interest in teacher preparation is preferred. Experience working with students with diverse learning styles and backgrounds and willingness to participate in recruitment/retention activities and undergraduate research mentoring is desirable. A strong commitment to diversity is required
