Generally speaking, we will be working to combine classic models of gas exchange with recent advances in metabolic flux approaches to better model and optimize photosynthesis in response to changing climates. We will have a full complement of tools to accomplish this aim including online isotope measurement capability (13CO2, C18O2), a membrane inlet mass spectrometer and a full complement of molecular and biochemical tools. This will be a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic start-up environment that will foster independence, creativity and excellence.
