Posting Summary:
The University of Virginia Program in American Studies seeks applications to fill a non-tenure track Instructional position during the Spring 2019 semester. This position will teach a single undergraduate course in American Studies. The course, a 2000-level class for 30 undergraduates, must incorporate interdisciplinary methods and fulfill requirements for our concentrations in either Race and Ethnicity or Popular and Visual Culture. Candidates must be ABD or hold a Ph.D. in American Studies or other relevant fields (Linguistics, Media Studies, English, History, Art History) and have a strong commitment to teaching.
