Job description

This position will provide clinical and operational support for the ambulatory clinics in the management of Dermatology Specialty Pharmacy service lines. The UK HealthCare Specialty Pharmacy is designed to optimize patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes by supporting physicians and clinic-providers during initiation of specialty medications including patient counseling, medication reconciliation, toxicity monitoring, and the creation of drug-specific clinical pathways. As part of the UK HealthCare Specialty Pharmacy team, you will work closely with a group of dedicated pharmacists and technicians providing benefits investigation, financial support, clinical monitoring, education, and dispensing for a variety of sub-specialty services.

Physical Requirements

May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time and possibly walking several miles per day. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.


Day shift, 8am-5pm with some holiday requirements. Hours and days of the week subject to change based on the needs and growth of the department. Holiday is not currently a requirement, but always subject to change. Requires some on-call.


Strong clinical skills, good communication skills, ability to prioritize.

Preferred Education/Experience

Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program (or have equivalent experience), preferred.
