For this project, we are seeking to hire a part-time community researcher that will be primarily based in Morehead, Kentucky. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) screening prospective participants for eligibility via phone, text and email. Scheduling interviews, focus groups and surveys, conducing in-person qualitative interviews with individuals who use opioids and a variety of community members living in the study area. Will conduct rapid HIV, HCV and syphilis testing (oral or finger stick) after becoming trained and state certified to conduct the testing in accordance with CDC guidelines. Will be responsible for transcribing qualitative interviews and will help Principal Investigator and Project Coordinator analyze data and present results. Will collaborate with Project Coordinator to ensure Community/Academic Partnerships (CAPs) are formed in a timely manner and meet quarterly as proposed. Attend CAP meetings and consult with Principal Investigators.

Physical Requirements

Travel between clinic sites and UK Campus, sitting for extended periods of time, some possible lifting less than 25 pounds.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

MS Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe PDF, written and oral communication, collaborative attitude, professionalism, dependability, flexible, detail-oriented, organization

Within 1 month of hire, person must complete Certification in the Protection of Human Research Subjects (i.e., CITI) and certification in HIV testing and counseling

Driver's license highly preferred.
