Assistant Professor of English - Tenure-Track

Job Description: Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of English, seeks a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in American Literatures from 1945 to the present, broadly defined to include Asian American, African American, Latinx, Afro-Latinx, transnational, and diasporic and migrant literatures, to begin academic year 2019-2020. Ability to teach survey courses in American literature and courses in critical or rhetorical theory, textual studies, or digital humanities would be particularly welcome. The position involves teaching undergraduate courses as well as graduate courses in our MA and PhD programs. The candidate will be expected to pursue a successful program of scholarship and to engage in service at the department level or above.
