Position Summary: The Global Academics Manager ("GAM") is primarily responsible for handling the day-to-day operations and communications associated with credit transfer for the Global Programs team. Additionally, the GAM supports both the Global Programs and Academics teams in administrative tasks and student advising. This position works directly with students, in addition to serving as a liaison and representative of Global Programs both to Kenan-Flagler faculty and to various academic departments and programs throughout the College of Arts & Sciences. The GAM position has the following three broad responsibilities: 1) serving as the point-of-contact for global programs credit transfer to both internal and external stakeholders, 2) maintaining and executing academic policies and procedures as they relate to global programs; serving as a liaison between both the global and academics areas of the Undergraduate Business Program, and 3) academic and global programs advising. This position serves as a communication bridge for students between the evolving academic requirements for business majors and minors to the constantly expanding portfolio of credit-bearing global programs opportunities. Additionally, the GAM serves as an internal communication point between Academics and Global Programs areas, facilitating dialogue and identifying further opportunities for collaboration between units.
