Position Summary: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Orthopaedic Joint Replacement Surgeon to join its rapidly growing service line This position is opening to expand clinical services in Orange and Wake counties in the triangle region of North Carolina. The candidate may be expected to take call. The candidate will participate in academic activities on campus that include teaching and scholarly activity to residents and other health care learners. The successful candidate will be board-eligible in orthopaedic surgery and will have completed fellowship training in joint replacement surgery at the time of hire. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine regularly ranks as one of the leading NIH-funded institutions in the country. The Department of Orthopaedics has 25 faculty members and a top-ranked residency program with 26 residents. The department provides clinical care in four hospitals, one ambulatory surgery center, and five outpatient clinics in Chapel Hill and surrounding counties. Education Requirements: This position requires an M.D.
Qualification and Experience: It is expected for the selected candidate to be board certified.
