General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part Time Lab Assistant (Rempote Sensing) on the Gainesville campus. The Physics lab assistant will primarily support physics laboratory and engineering courses. They will work under the direct supervision of a faculty member.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Lab Assistant will:

  • Complete Remote Sensing and Object Based Image Analysis and geospatial modeling.
  • Help to develop rulesets for UAS imagery and assist in curricular development.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must be reliable and responsible in conducting duties.

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have excelled in Remote Sensing or Physics courses and/or be recommended by Physics Faculty; Preferred completion of a remote sensing and geospatial modeling coursework with very good grades.
  • Prior remote sensing RA experience is a plus.
