DIRECTOR, ANALYSIS & DATA MANAGEMENT, Real Estate Management
We seek a talented technician to lead thoughtful application of data to inform how Boston University (BU) Campus Planning & Operations (through its Informatics & Strategic Initiatives group) strategically leverages information in support of the Universitys academic, research and student life programs, as well as various reporting, performance metrics, and compliance needs. Campus Planning & Operations units include University Police & Emergency Management, Real Estate, Facilities Management & Operations, Mail Services, and Planning, Design & Construction. The Director of Analysis & Data Management will develop and maintain key partnerships with internal and external entities and will collaborate with various stakeholders in Campus Planning & Operations and other University offices (such as, but not limited to Sustainability, Budget & Business Affairs, and Institutional Research) to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, reporting needs, and information systems. In this role, the incumbent will lead process review initiatives while working to bring data together to answer complex operational questions that support senior leadership decision making and/or to deepen stakeholders understanding of the information, such as operational drivers, productivity & performance, condition assessment, or compliance. In addition, s/he will oversee a Senior Analyst and a Project Controls Manager/Platform Administrator.
Comprehending information system data structures, utilizing data systems, and having the ability to provide analysis while presenting the information for a variety of audiences are essential components of this role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership competencies in building successful teams, building partnerships, facilitating change, managing conflict, and building trust. Taking the initiative, developing creative solutions, anticipating and solving problems are vital attributes based on his or her experience with graphical and anaytical tools. Focus on continuous improvement is essential for success in this position.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Five to eight years of relevant experience.
