MEDICAL RECORDS MANAGER, School of Medicine, Framingham Heart Study

Located in Framingham, this position manages the surveillance of participants in an epidemiological research program, and the acquisition of copies of validating medical records from health care providers. The manager is responsible for training staff in procedures, assuring best practice for confidentiality and quality. The manager is also responsible for fulfilling contractual obligations in a timely manner and for preparing reports as needed by accessing data from the medical records tracking system. The manager oversees the curation of the internal records department and maintains data use agreements with state departments public health and vital statistics.


BS in Health Record Administration or related field, 3-5 years experience in Medical Record Systems/Management, knowledge of PHI confidentiality and release of information, and, database programming skills.
