Senior Compliance Auditor

Under the general supervision of the Director-Compliance Auditing, the Senior Compliance Auditor is responsible for supporting the compliance auditing and educational activities of the Compliance Auditing Program. The Senior Compliance Auditor must possess considerable knowledge of hospital business operations and requirements associated with Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial payer and clinical research coding and billing.
Responsibilities include: Performing independent, full scope auditing of provider documentation and coding for E/M services and procedures as well as regulatory audits to evaluate compliance with federal and state laws, applicable regulations and University of California and UCI Health policies. This position also supports the Research Compliance Program with auditing research studies as needed. The Senior Compliance Auditor performs all phases of the audit (i.e., planning, fieldwork, reporting), ensures that audits are accurate, completed in a timely manner, performed according to department guidelines and methodology, and effectively evaluate the system of internal controls adopted within UCI Health. Communicates all audit and review findings to the Director-Compliance Auditing as well as to physicians, billing managers and coders. Develops educational materials and presents educational information to providers, coding groups, and assists other areas in staff training to enhance proficient coding and documentation.

Salary: Monthly $4,968.58 - $6,755.83
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
