Demonstrates dignity and respect for patient and family for patient and family knowledge, values, beliefs, and cultural background in the planning and delivery of care.

Provides information sharing ensuring patients and families receive timely, complete and accurate information on order to effectively participate in care and decision0makings.

Encourage patient and family participation in care and decision-making at the level they choose.

Promotes collaboration with patients and families in policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation in health care facility design, professional education, and delivery of care.

Predoctoral didactic and clinical teaching in Endodontics. Course director for 5 predoctoral Endodontic courses. Clinical teaching in Endodontics residency program.

Provides clinical treatment for patients referred to the Department of Endodontics.

Research in biological science or materials science. Clinical research within the specialty of Endodontics.

Participates in continuing education activities organized by the Department of Endodontics and at the national/international level.

Involve in service committees within the Dental College of Georgia and within Augusta University.

DDS or DMD degree required.

CODA approved certificate in Endodontics.

Teaching license approved by the Georgia Board of Dentistry to practice clinical endodontics and teach predoctoral land postdoctoral clinic.

5 years of clinical and didactic teaching in Endodontics in a U.S. based institution or training center.

Successful completion of Part I (oral) as well as Part II (case portfolio) or Part III (oral) of the Board Certification in Endodontics.

Preferred requirements

Board certification in Endodontics.

Masters or PhD in biological science or materials science.
