Position Summary: The Business Systems Analyst will dedicate his/her time to assist with the strategic coordination of critical data and information sharing including the donor and alumni database. He/ she will provide a variety of information technology services in support of alumni and development activities throughout UNC Medicine. He/ she will also serve as a liaison between UNC Medicine and the University of North Carolina Development office as related to data management and information sharing; support grateful patient identification, cultivation and solicitation activities and stewardship efforts. The Business Systems Analyst's primary focus will be to provide functional support to the UNC Medicine Grateful Patient and Annual Giving programs while responding to reporting and data services requests. This will entail a detailed analysis of the requirements in addition to the delivery of creative solutions, including but not limited to, query creation, data extracts, and defining system processes and procedures as well as applying policies around data and system usage to the user community within UNC Medicine. A high-level of quality control is necessary to ensure the accuracy of said reports and data extracts.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor's degree and some computer coursework from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development; or Associate's degree in Computer Programming and one year of experience in application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualification and Experience: 1+ years of business analysis and data gathering experience; database and prospect management skills. Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment; attention to detail and accuracy; creativity and problem-solving skills; high proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. Must be familiar with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Must demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituencies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, work independently, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities. Must have a customer service oriented attitude, and the ability to be a team player with proven relationship and influencing skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues from a variety of internal and external functional areas. Must be a proven strategic and analytical thinker. Familiarity with Blackbaud CRM is preferred.
