The University of Virginia seeks a Human Resources Supervisor, Talent Support. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service and the efficiency of the Talent Support team. Reporting to the HR Manager, Talent Support, and working with the Manager, the Supervisor refines Talent Support service delivery. The Supervisor is responsible for Talent Recruitment support; pre-boarding services from offer to day one; and faculty, staff and team member transactions, including direct customer interaction as necessary. The Supervisor has budget responsibilities for the Talent Support Team. The Supervisor also serves as a University-wide liaison between HR Leadership and Management.
A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience is required. The ability to navigate, interpret and articulate complex policies and procedures is required. Demonstrated knowledge of Academic and Health System-specific pre-boarding and licensure needs, and new hire document-management compliance needs is also required. Advanced critical thinking, logic, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of performance management best practices are required. The ability to prioritize diverse tasks to meet customer needs, and sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information is essential. The ideal candidate must have a positive, team-oriented approach to service delivery and a commitment to continual process improvement. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) and HR systems is required.
