Requisition Title: Assistant / Associate Professor - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery - 1702062

The Department of Surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is inviting applications for a permanent full-time position in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. We seek a full-time faculty plastic and reconstructive surgeon with fellowship training in hand surgery.

The effective date of this appointment is flexible, tentatively aiming for July 1, 2018.

The candidate will join a nine member Division with additional areas of clinical focus including Breast, Burn and Craniofacial surgery whose activities are integral to the Hospitals programs of trauma and oncology. Sunnybrook is the largest trauma centre in Canada with a significant volume of complex extremity injuries. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive quaternary care for upper and lower extremity injuries.

The successful candidate should have graduate level training in a relevant area of research that is aligned with Sunnybrook Research Institute's programs or platforms in evaluative clinical sciences, biological sciences or the physical sciences ( ). As a surgeon-investigator, the successful candidate will be expected to develop a research profile and contribute to the academic mission of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. As a member of the Department of Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto, the candidate is expected to participate in education of learners at all levels.

The candidate must be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor at the University of Toronto. Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as well as licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is required.

The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Sunnybrook is one of the largest the country.
