Immokalee Health Education Site - College of Medicine
Provides health psychology consults to school systems and care-givers of children who are at risk for developmental and emotional difficulties. Utilizes trauma informed approaches to educate afterschool program personnel, teachers, and intervention-providers in the evaluation and treatment of at-risk children and adolescents referred to the Center. Based on consultations with care providers, performs clinical assessments, formulates diagnoses, and recommends treatment plans. Serves as liaison with the Pediatrics clinical team at Healthcare Network to coordinate treatment for patients with medical involvement.
Provides clinical supervision and/or training for developmental specialist and community worker. Provides workshops and trainings to community groups. Provides clinical supervision for postdoc fellows in the FSUCenter for Child Stress & Health.
Participates in clinical team of the FSU Center for Child Stress and Health. Uses evidence based and trauma informed approaches to care.
Doctorate degree (PhD).
Valid psychology license in the State of Florida or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.
Ability to provide supervision to clinical health psychology fellows.
Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Experience dealing with crises and managing sensitive information.
Experience effectively training and directing the work of others.
Experience preparing, coordinating, and conducting workshops.
Experience in psychological counseling and assessment.
Experience with mental health evaluation instruments.
Experience working with and treating persons from diverse populations.
Ability to speak and write the Spanish language fluently
A valid Florida Driver's License, or the ability to obtain.
Experience maintaining and improving personal and team effectiveness, and fostering change and creativity.
This position is located in Immokalee, Florida.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Soft Money Funded Position
This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
