Emergency Management and Homeland Security Academic Program
Production of Emergency Management audio/video materials in support of online education.
Makes decisions regarding equipment acquisition, maintenance and upgrading, working within an established budget.
Deploy/activate as part of field research team to document disasters. Overnight travel is required.
Assists in the conduct and documentation of Emergency Management Exercises.
Other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience shooting and editing video for news, television, or digital outlets; or a high diploma/equivalency and six years of experience in same areas.
(Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years in the same area as above.)
Proficiency with digital video cameras.
Understanding of shooting and lighting principles.
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere or equivalent NLE (FCP, Avid).
Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
General knowledge of HTML.
Ability to integrate interview footage, B-Roll and third party media to support content.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
A Bachelor's degree preferably in Film, Media Production or Communications.
Basic Knowledge of Emergency Management is a plus.
Programming ability a plus.
Familiarity with small unmanned aircraft systems (drones).
Anticipated Salary Range
27,000 to 35,000 dependent of education and experience.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
