Department of Diagnostic Medicine - Dell Medical School - The University of Texas at Austin

The Department of Diagnostic Medicine is seeking distinguished applicants to fill one senior/mid/junior faculty position in areas that are well-aligned with the existing strengths and future needs of our department. A particular area of interest is the development of an Imaging Analysis and Informatics Core that will collaborate with UT and Dell Medical School (DMS) imaging researchers to assist them with organizing and storing study data, data quality assessment (QA), data processing, statistical analyses, and data sharing.

Appropriate applicants include, but are not limited to, medical physicists, imaging scientists, computational scientists, and translational scientists using imaging technology. Required qualifications include a doctorate in engineering, computer science, medical physics, informatics or a related field with an outstanding, nationally recognized record of research accomplishments, publications, and externally sponsored funding. Candidates are also expected to have a strong interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching in biomedical imaging, and a commitment to professional service. Additionally, we seek applicants who have a strong desire to build extensive collaborations with the well-recognized basic science departments of the University of Texas, Austin, as well as other community medical centers. All candidates are required to be eligible for a faculty appointment at the University of Texas at Austin.
