Position Summary:

Incumbent is responsible for aiding the department with overflow and will assist with providing a range of administrative and analytical functions critical to the implementation of the quality assurance and performance improvement programs through effective identification of sources and collection of data, including medical chart review and query of various databases/information systems. May serve as a resource for quality through the implementation of processes and standards across the continuum to ensure compliance and improvement in quality of care and patient safety.

Salary Range:

Rate 55.92/hour

Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in operational transactions and communications

Ability to prioritize and contribute to simultaneous projects and facilitate teamwork among project staff / participants

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Pharmacy, Business, Administration or related field

Current California RN license

Excellent interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with physicians, managers and high-level administrative staff as well as support staff who are critical to departmental functions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies

Minimum 2 years clinical RN experience

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must demonstrate meticulous attention to accuracy with data collection and reporting

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Previous experience creating, maintaining, and extracting information from a variety of databases

Previous experience or exposure to quality, patient safety, infection control, or performance improvement methodologies (includes educational experience if applicable)

Resourcefulness to identify and search for information that is not readily available

Strong analytical skills to effectively comprehend complex system reports and analyze an array into an actionable form

Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite applications with emphasis on Excel and Viseo

Working knowledge of statistics

Master's Degree
