Program Manager of Intensive English Programs (REQ. 28783)
UCLA Extension, a global leader in professional and continuing higher education, seeks an innovative Program Manager (Management Services Officer II-Supervisor) to oversee its Intensive English Programs within the department of American Language Center (ALC).
Reporting to the director (Continuing Educator) of Intensive English (ESL) Programs, the Program Manager, oversees and has direct involvement in four major areas: A) Program Management and Leadership; B) Program Planning, Development and Implementation, including technology and data management; C) Marketing and Strategic Planning of ALC Programs and Services; D) Financial Management: Budget Development and Coordination.
Successful candidate must possess the ability to observe and analyze situations, define problems, identify relevant facts, prioritize needs, find alternative suggestions and formulate logical and appropriate solutions. Ability to create a supportive culture and to foster individual motivation, high levels of individual and team performance, and high quality of service to customers.
Ability to observe and analyze situations, define problems, identify relevant facts, prioritize needs, find alternative suggestions and formulate logical and appropriate solutions. Skill in planning, preparation, and analysis of fiscal budgets, including comparative trends for use in budgetary review meetings. Experience & demonstrated skill in a wide variety of technical management systems and software. Experience in working and communicating with international students who are non-native speakers of English. Excellent interpersonal/written/verbal communication skills and management experience also are essential.
