Institutional Relations Mgr
The Institutional Relations Manager is responsible for Temple's relationships with external colleges and universities who send students on our semester and summer programs. Reporting to the AVP Education Abroad & Overseas Campuses, the Manager will help meet new targets for external student participation. This will entail market research and analysis, review of our enrollment services, reviewing and maintaining our range of existing relationships, and the design, implementation and monitoring of new relationships. The incumbent is directly responsible for implementation of the agreed recruitment strategy, including meeting administrators, faculty and students to promote Temple's opportunities at colleges and universities in the US and abroad; developing, tracking and following up with associated contacts including student inquiries; preparation of promotional materials with the office's marketing & communications team, providing periodic reports, and social networking advertising and outreach. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Master's degree and 3-5 years experience in study abroad or related university administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: * Demonstrated understanding of an academic environment, appreciation for international education, ability to work in a team and with diverse constituencies. * Must possess strong organization and managerial leadership skills. * Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. * Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing and able to travel * Ability to work with students, and committed to international educational exchange. * Demonstrated computer skills to include: Word, Access, Excel and Contribute * Ability to work occasional nights and/or weekends as required. Preferred: * Proficiency in a second language.
