Early Learning Center
Nature of Work:
This position will require that the employee performs and oversees a variety of food service for the children of the Early Learning Center. Duties are assigned and determined with specific instructions from the food service provider. Employee must attend all state required training.
Training and Experience:
High School Diploma required; food service experience; must hold a ServSafe certificate for food handler training, or obtain certificate within the first six months of employment.
Illustrative Examples of Work:
*Assembles food in hot or cold containers for transportation from ASU Dining Hall to the Early Learning Center;
*Serves students the appropriate sized portions as required by CACFP; *Maintains state requirements for washing, sanitizing, and cleaning of the kitchen, utensils, and kitchen equipment such as pots and pans, steam table, choppers, refrigerator, oven freezer, microwave, carts to maintain sanitary conditions;
*Inspects food and food products prior to serving and consumption for quality and freedom from contamination and spoilage;
*Inspects serving area before food is served;
*Maintains records and prepares reports as required;
*Performs other job-related work assignments as required.
