The Atmospheric Chemistry and Composition Group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton University is seeking postdoctoral or more senior researchers to develop and field-deploy optical instrumentation for measurements of trace gases in the atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and characterization of laser-based sensors and knowledge of the challenges of field measurements of the atmosphere. The initial term of appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and funding. This position is subject to the University's background check policy. Essential Qualifications: Experience with optical sensing, laser spectroscopy, and trace gas measurements in the atmosphere. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with software, electrical and mechanical design; knowledge of atmospheric science and chemistry. Proficiency with LabView, MATLAB or similar software is desired.
