The University of Missouri Food Animal Medicine Faculty Position (2018)
The University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, seeks applications for a full time tenure track or non-tenure track faculty position in Food Supply Veterinary Medicine at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. Details about position, MU and Columbia are posted online at https://hrs.missouri.edu/find-a-job/academic .This appointment’s primary focus is field service and production medicine for all livestock, with an emphasis in cow/calf, with a minority of time dedicated to in house clinical service. In addition, the successful candidate will:- Develop a caseload-based clinical curriculum in livestock production medicine;Contribute to a production medicine clinical elective that is taught every year;Interact with the animal-owning public, referring veterinarians, students, commodity groups, extension faculty, animal science faculty, and the Missouri Department of Agriculture;Share with other faculty and house officers in after-hours call;Share responsibility for training interns, residents and graduate students.Participate in clinical / production based research (non-tenure track-teaching) or develop an independently funded research program related to food supply veterinary medicine (tenure track).
