Additional Information Purpose In close collaboration with the Manager for Partnership and Outreach, the Coordinator for Partnerships and Outreach implements the strategic plan designed to increase and retain partnerships and enhance program awareness across state and local agencies. Essential Functions Develop and maintain relationships with K-12 district administrators, state and local leaders, and faculty. Work with Manager to develop and implement strategic plans for programmatic growth. Develops long-term relationships with and coordinates a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of assigned special projects following standard methodologies. Implement and maintain engagement activities, including face-to-face presentations, webinars, conference trade shows, partner symposiums, site visits, parent night, and other strategic business development activities resulting in an increase in partners and a strong network. Implements innovative business development strategies to identify, build, and maintain strategic partnership life cycles from initial leads to contract, payment and renewal phases, including developing and facilitating business agreements and contracts across a variety of institutional types. Serves as first point of contact for partnership inquiries by phone and email. Engages in conversations with leads using pre-determined communication and business development strategies and documents, tracks, and generates reports on interactions. Tracks and maintain positive relationships and effective communication with existing and potential partners using multiple platforms. Complete other duties and special projects as assigned. Marginal/Incidental functions Other related functions as assigned. Required qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in K-12 or higher education, external relations, project management, or business development. Ability to navigate a wide variety of internal and external relationships with grace and decorum; demonstrated track record of developing, managing, and maintaining strategic partnerships or client relationships. Knowledge of trends and future directions of business development and relationship management. Experience managing work toward meeting targets and goals. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders with client-focus, professionalism, and decorum. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Masters of Business Administration, Master's in Education or business. Demonstrated experience in the area of external relations within the K-12 and/or higher education landscape. Knowledge of the education policy context in Texas. Expertise in innovative credentialing approaches in education, including technology-based certifications or badging. The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
