Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.Marginal/Incidental functions Other related duties and functions, as assigned. Weekend, holiday, comp, and event overtime will be required with all guard positions. Required qualifications High school graduation or GED. Experience in general security or law enforcement. Some experience working with the public or in a direct customer service role. Must be a strong team player and possess good communication skills. Must have the ability to work independently and make good decisions. Experience completing reports, maintaining database records, and maintaining files. Must have good computer skills. Must demonstrate professional demeanor, show attention to detail, and display punctual, dependable attendance. Willing and able to lift and carry 30 lbs. Must be able to walk continuously during an 8 hour shift. Must have clean driving record at time of hire and maintain an acceptable driver rating at all times. Must be eligible to operate a University vehicle under UT Drivers qualifications. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident. A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
