This assignment is for 19 hours per week, scheduled to be agreed upon with the supervisor - Monday to Saturday, some Sundays. 7am to 11pm, variable shifts.

Additional Information Purpose Responsible for event set up, audiovisual equipment set up and support, and customer service. Facility maintenance as well as minor equipment repair and maintenance. Essential Functions Responsible for setting up rooms and spaces, including moving tables and chairs. Setting up audiovisual equipment and computers. Supporting clients use of audiovisual equipment while providing engaged customer service. Assist with general facility maintenance and custodial services including vacuuming, cleaning rooms and patios, taking out trash, and monitoring parking lot. Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs of various kinds of audiovisual equipment, consisting of but not limited to laptops, projectors, microphones, mini-mixers, and cabling. Providing customer service assisting clients general needs during events. Other related functions as assigned. Marginal/Incidental functions Other related functions as assigned. Required qualifications High school graduation or GED. One year of experience with event setup, audiovisual setup and support, repair and maintenance of audiovisual equipment. One year experience with assisting with facility and custodial maintenance for a full-service conference center. Experience with customer service dealing with a diverse clientele. Experience working with computers. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment, working on multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications More than the required years of experience. Experience working in an academic setting. Superior communication skills and superior customer service skills. Working conditions May work around standard office conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Use of manual dexterity Lifting and moving Standing for long periods. Attire: Business casual.
A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
