Additional Information Purpose Member of a project team providing ASW systems/software support to a major program office, including the requirements, development, integration, test, measurement, and reporting support of technologies and systems used in acoustic processing systems within the Signal and Information Systems Laboratory of ARL:UT.

Essential Functions Design, develop, configure, integrate and test software to meet specified requirements. Design, develop, integrate, and test software for use as stand-alone products, as well as modular components to be integrated into a larger framework or virtualized architecture. Communicate with project team members, supervisors, sponsors for timely implementation of project requirements. Document project implementation and brief overall use of project and status.

Marginal/Incidental functions Support development of program plans and schedules. Perform analyses of specific problems and issues. Develop technical briefings and reports. Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer/ electrical/ software engineering, computer science, or other applied sciences. Work within a team environment and with end-users. Provide system-level design and engineering support for software system applications. Develop graphical user interfaces and web application user interfaces. May prepare project reports and continue technical education. Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, effectively communicate with diverse groups, and respond quickly to user needs. Ability to address usability and ease-of-use by a diverse user base. U.S. Citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer/ electrical/ software engineering, computer science, or other applied sciences and two plus years of experience in a related field. Demonstrated experience developing software in Java, JavaScript, Python, and C++. Experience with Oracle and SQL. Experience designing, developing, debugging, and deploying interactive web-based user interfaces that may include layered overlays, using KML/KMZ and XML file formats. Experience integrating modular software components into external systems/frameworks. Experience converting MATLAB code to other languages. Knowledge of current software technology standards and demonstrated ability to apply industry standards in a project, and use discipline in configuration management, development, testing, and documentation. Cumulative GPA of 3.0.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
