Job description

Duties: This position is to ensure the successful execution of Translational Research projects of major strategic value to the Department and Division. The ideal candidate must possess extremely high levels of independence, reliability, flexibility of schedule, and communication accessibility and skills. He/She will provide input to experimental design and discuss findings at lab meetings. Will work with Clinical Research Coordinators to receive and process lab samples, tissue cultures and virus handling. Incubating clinical samples, place imaging under fluorescent microscope and analyze results. Oversee and train students; develop and maintain SOPs; interact with regulatory bodies.
Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: The minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. The candidate must be expert with microscope imaging acquisition and analysis software and possess at least two years experience handling human tumor cells in culture and with adenovirus or other lab virus as well as clinical blood samples from patients.
