Temporary Engineer Associate II/Research

Job description

The Engineer Associate II/Research employee should have broad knowledge of engineering/scientific principles and practices. Should be able to apply accepted methods of research and Interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others. The applicant must be able to contribute to intellectual development activities within KTC and be able to complete all assigned projects. The applicant will be required to work within KTC and KYTC data systems. The employee in is expected to assist with proposal development and provide professional services and obtain funding for research projects. Applies engineering principles and practices, uses research methodologies to solve problems, lead projects of moderate scope, ability to develop and write research reports. Interact with clients as directed, deliver presentations as needed, and works on multiple projects and tracks progress.

Physical Requirements

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm


Skills Knowledge/Abilities- Facility with office software and understanding of operational premises of statistical analysis, database management, geographic information systems and internet/intranets. Knowledge of engineering/scientific principles and practices; able to apply accepted methods of research and interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others; able to contribute to intellectual development activities within KTC and be able to complete all assigned projects.
