Position Summary: A person in this position will serve as the advisor for an assigned population of pre-health students at the University of Georgia. The position involves advising students on the application process for assigned program types, coordinating with other UGA units that advise and support students applying to those professional schools, and coordinating programming and events to support students with an interest in applying to those programs.
Responsibilities: Meets with and advises current students, alumni, and previous applicants on an individual basis. Also meets with other UGA advisors, faculty, and recruiters. Assists them by answering questions on options, procedures, timetables, requirements, and deadlines for professional school applications.
Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment and three years of administrative and appropriate program experience; OR five years of progressively responsible work in this area; OR any combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
